Medicine & Faith Conference

We are excited to host our first Medicine & Faith Conference on September 21–22, 2016. The conference will focus on the issues of cancer and obesity, addressing how Christians should face these trials within the context of their faith. We will welcome Dr. Vern Poythress, Dr. Larry Puls, and Dr. Randal Baker to share their wisdom on these difficult and challenging topics.

About the Speakers

Dr. Vern Poythress (PhD, Harvard University) serves as professor of New Testament interpretation at Westminster Theological Seminary, where he has taught for 40 years. Dr. Poythress has published numerous books and articles on how the Trinity impacts all areas of life.

Dr. Larry Puls (MD, University of Texas) serves as professor and director of the division of gynecologic oncology within the Greenville Cancer Institute in the Greenville University Health System. Dr. Puls is a frequent contributor to Gynecologic Oncology and The Journal of Medical Oncology, among other journals.

Dr. Randal Baker (MD, University of Oklahoma) serves as an assistant professor of surgery at Michigan State College of Human Medicine and as the president of Grand Health Partners. He is actively involved in research, holds over twenty patents, and has presented extensively on obesity-related research around the world.
