Campus Revitalization: Breaking Ground at Westminster

We are pleased to announce the beginning of our long-awaited Campus Revitalization Project. This approximately $3 Million project is an essential component of Westminster’s broader strategic plan to provide a superior on-campus experience for students. The Campus Revitalization Project provides much needed campus improvements – safer traffic and pedestrian flow, enhanced lighting and signage, landscaping, and possibly even a playground. The project also includes necessary upgrades to our site (stormwater management, grading, etc.) to allow for the possibility of any future improvements. The pictures included here show some of the changes you can expect to see when the project is complete.

Our project team has been meeting with our general contractor to ensure that they will preserve campus safety and allow adequate traffic flow, parking and access to buildings during the construction. While we will make every effort to minimize disruption, we would certainly appreciate your patience and understanding throughout the project.  If you’ve ever lived in a building that is being renovated, then you know that it can be frustrating at times. However, we are confident that the enduring benefits of this project will far outweigh the momentary inconveniences.

Because the project will likely continue into the Winter, we’ve begun updating a webpage (wts.edu/campusrevitalization) where you will be able to find the most up-to-date information on changes in parking or building access. Please check the page regularly if you will be on campus during the Fall 2019 semester. There will also be an information center located in the lobby of Van Til Hall.

Please join us in the thanking the Lord for his faithfulness in this process.
