Campus Revitalization Project Updates

As our Campus Revitalization Project is now underway, we will use this page to give updates on campus entrance closures, parking, and on-campus traffic information. Please check this page regularly as you plan your commute and visits to Westminster Theological Seminary’s campus. When commuting to campus, you must now only enter through the upper entrance on Church Rd., (closest to Willow Grove Ave.) across from Sunset Rd. When leaving campus, you must only exit through the lower exit on Church Rd. (closest to Waverly Rd.). The Willow Grove Ave. entry point is closed to vehicular traffic.
When entering the campus through the upper Church Rd. entrance, you must make an immediate right turn towards the parking lot behind Van Til Hall. If you have parked off-campus, please walk through the Willow Grove Ave. entrance, make an immediate left, and follow the pathway on the grass between the stone wall and orange fence. Do not walk through the construction area.
Please refer to the map below with information on campus entrances/exits, new pedestrian walkways, and vehicular traffic directions.

Please note that tomorrow, August 28th, campus access via the Willow Grove Ave entrance will be limited by construction. With this in mind, please enter the campus via Church Rd. and use the upper and lower parking lots behind the library. There will be some parking available at the Willow Grove Ave entrance if needed, but access to the rest of the campus from this lot will be by foot.

The demolition of the Carriage House front patio and library entrance will take place this week (8/12–8/16). Construction work on the library entrance will be completed in two phases, which will allow for continued access to the buildings. Please note that during this time, some sidewalks will be blocked off. Demolition on the two parking lots beside the Carriage House is also expected to begin this week. Tree removal will also continue this week. All areas of construction will be marked and fenced off. It is important to note for safety reasons that no one enters the marked off construction areas during this time.

A new policy for the parking lot behind the library will be in effect. Please note that all parking spots in the lot behind the library are now reserved for faculty and drivers who are 65 years and older. This parking lot will also include two temporary spots for library staff. The spaces will be clearly marked with signs. Eligible users will receive temporary dashboard place cards. The new parking policy will be enforced by the Physical Plant Department.
