Faculty & Leadership Report

Following the most recent meeting of the Westminster Board of Trustees, we can report on a few important updates in Westminster faculty and leadership for the upcoming academic year:

–Beginning July 1, 2019, Dr. David Garner will assume the role of Dean of Faculty. He will also serve as Vice President of Global Ministries. As Dr. Garner takes on these new roles, he will relinquish his duties as Vice President of Advancement.

–Dr. Scott Oliphint will be on study leave from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, in order to focus on important writing projects.

–Dr. Kent Hughes announced his retirement from teaching earlier this year. He will be returning to a well-earned retirement with his wife, Barbara. We are immensely grateful for his years of service and influence on our seminary.

Westminster is in the process of completing interviews for the role of Vice President of Advancement. We plan to introduce to you a very capable person in the near future. Stay tuned for forthcoming announcements and developments.

Please continue to pray for Westminster as we enter the Summer season and look toward the Fall. We are grateful for our three terrific new faculty members: Dr. David Briones, Dr. Todd Rester, and Rev. Rob Edwards. Each brings unique strengths to our academics and for ministry to the church–we look forward to welcoming each of them and their families.
