Westminster is excited to announce the appointment of Rev. Rob Edwards to the position of Assistant Professor of Practical Theology beginning July 1, 2019. In this role, Rev. Edwards will focus his teaching on evangelism and missions.
Rev. Edwards joins the Westminster community with more than 20 years of ministry experience. For the past nine years, Rev. Edwards has served as pastor of Mercy Presbyterian Church in Forest, Virginia, a congregation he organized as a church planter in 2010. Previously, he served for 11 years as campus minister with Reformed University Fellowship at the University of Georgia. In addition, Rev. Edwards has served in various capacities on Presbytery and General Assembly committees.
In addition to extensive ministry experience, Rev. Edwards has many areas of academic interest, including how biblical theology impacts pastoral ministry and the mission of the church, and the implications of a covenantal apologetic for preaching and contextualization.
