Westminster & Reformation Bible College Partner for Accelerated Degree Program

Westminster Theological Seminary is pleased to announce an accelerated degree program in partnership with Reformation Bible College. This accelerated track allows students interested in pursuing a Masters of Divinity to receive both their undergraduate and graduate degrees in six years. This accelerated degree program will launch during the 2018–19 academic year. Reformation Bible College students enrolled in this accelerated program will complete 90 academic credits in their three-year undergraduate biblical studies program and meet Westminster’s admissions requirements before beginning their study at the seminary. After completing 30 academic credits at Westminster, the students will return their transcript to Reformation Bible College and receive their Bachelor’s degree along with their incoming class. The students will then return to Westminster for an additional two years to complete their MDiv program.

Upon its foundation in 2011, Reformation Bible College has sought to train influential leaders to propagate the tenets of historical evangelicalism throughout the world. In consideration of the need for sound leaders in the church, Dr. R. C. Sproul, founder of Ligonier Ministries and Reformation Bible College, noted, “On one occasion, I wrote down the names of a hundred people who I knew were leaders of the Reformed movement in America, mostly pastors and professors. Of those one hundred names, I could trace the roots of 99 of them, in one way or another, back to Westminster Theological Seminary. And, if you were to look back at the first ten or fifteen graduates of that school, you would recognize so many of the names for the impact that they have had on the life of Christianity in the United States.”

We are thrilled to announce this partnership with Reformation Bible College, with whom we share a common mission to train the next generation of leaders in ministry. “Reformation Bible College reflects the passion for Reformed scholarship so characteristic of its founder, Dr. R. C. Sproul,” said Westminster President Peter A. Lillback. “Westminster is pleased to collaborate with RBC in offering its six-year Master of Divinity program culminating in a WTS MDiv.”
