Barbara Duguid, wife of Westminster Professor Iain, and current student Wayne Duguid Houk have recently published a new book on prayer, Prone to Wander. Inspired by the Puritan classic The Valley of Vision, these prayers were developed for both personal devotions and church use.
Dr. Bruce Waltke is one of the renowned Old Testament biblical theologians of our era. On the occasion of his retirement from active teaching, Westminster wishes to celebrate his substantial contributions to his discipline, his ministry to the church, and his scholarly teaching and mentoring of students at seminaries across North America.

Amarillo Reformed Fellowship (ARF) Conference
Rev. Dr. Gregory Beale will be speaking at this year's ARF conference on Reformed Theology on October 3 and 4 from 6:30-9:30pm in Amarillo, TX. Dr. Beale will be talking about Christ's Church and the end-time tribulation from several key scriptures.
On September 10th, Westminster held its 86th Fall convocation, with Dr. David Powlison speaking to new and returning students. Dr. Powlison's message was entitled "Blessed by a Communicative God" and was drawn from the beginning of Jesus' Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5.

The beginning of the Fall semester means the beginning of Fall Semester chapels! This year, we have the pleasure of inviting Westminster faculty and alumni to speak at our Wednesday chapels. All chapels will be held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10:30am in Rust Auditorium, Van Til Hall. Chapels are a time for all those in Westminster to worship our Lord and Savior together as a community.
Dr. R. Kent Hughes will be the plenary speaker for the 2014 Preaching Conference, which will be held on October 21 and 22. Dr. Hughes will be speaking on the subject of "The Essentials of Biblical Exposition." He will also be joined by the Mortification of Spin team, Carl Trueman, Todd Pruitt, and Aimee Bird, for a panel discussion.
