Additional Registration Information

Helpful Information for Students Planning to Register


For your benefit, we would like the registration process to be done properly and in a timely manner. Therefore, before coming to the Registrar's Office to register, please review and fill out the proper form (if applicable) for the following registration issues:

1. Waiver of Prequisites

Students who have not taken a prerequisite for a particular course: print out and complete a Request for Waiver of Prerequisite form, including required faculty signatures, and bring completed form when you register.

2. Course Conflicts

Students wishing to register for two courses that are scheduled at the same time (even if there is only a partial overlap): print out and complete a Course Conflict Approval form, including required faculty signatures, and bring completed form when you register.

3. Independent Studies

Students desiring to register for an Independent Study course: read pg. 51 of the 2010-2011 Catalog, then print out and complete an Independent Study Agreement form, including faculty signature, and bring completed form when you register.

IMPORTANT! If the course is a required course: the student must first obtain approval from the Faculty Committee of Three before registering for the course. Please contact Tatiana Gaona (215-935-3881) for more information.

4. Distance (Tape) Courses:

Students wishing to register for courses on tape: Read pp. 52-53 of the 2010-2011 Catalog, then contact Tatiana Gaona (215-935-3881) for assistance.

5. Auditing Courses

Students wishing to audit a course(s): Read pp. 50-51 of the 2010-2011 Catalog before registration. When you register, sign up for the course as an auditor. Please note that only full-time students and their spouses are permitted to audit for free.
