The Vosbigian Scholarship was established in honor of the late John and Edna Vosbigian. The Vosbigians have been used of the Lord to greatly bless Westminster Theological Seminary. Their interest in Westminster's theology prompted them to fund the Richard B. Gaffin, Jr. Lecture on Theology, Culture, and Missions, held annually.
Type of Award: A full tuition scholarship with a $2,500 yearly stipend.
Number of Awards: Two (2) new scholarships each academic year, one per Ph.D. area.
Eligibility requirements: New (incoming) Ph.D. student pursuing full-time study.
Award period: Award year through completion of degree program (Recipient must submit a Statement of Intent each year to verify eligibility).
Award requirements: Maintain full-time status and minimum GPA of 3.00 throughout period of award.
To apply: The Vosbigian Scholarship is awarded by invitation only by the Ph.D. Field Committee. Therefore there is no financial aid application to submit for the Vosbigian Scholarship. Returning recipients must submit a Statement of Intent each year to verify eligibility.
Submission deadline (for the Statement of Intent): February 1
