Welcome to Point of Contact Jerry McFarland, Dean of Students and Ministerial Formation, Accepts Call to Cary, NC | “I have absolutely loved my ministry here at WTS, but for the past few years I have had a growing burden for the covenant family; as an ordained minister I have hungered to be more involved in ministering to God’s people in the church. |
"As many of you know, I have been working part-time at Tenth Presbyterian Church, which has been wonderful, but I have been hungering for more. Out of the blue, I received an email from a young Senior Pastor, Andy Jones, in Cary, NC who said my name had popped up as a possible candidate for a position they were creating. The position is Associate Minister for Pastoral Care. He said he told his session upon becoming senior minister that he wanted to hire a seasoned pastor for the purpose of shepherding this flock and to specifically mentor him as a young pastor.” For 13 years Jerry has blessed every student with the constant reminder that they are here preparing to glorify God for life and not themselves! On behalf of the whole Westminster family worldwide, we thank the Lord for your faithful ministry brother! Please pray for him as the Lord weaves him into the hearts and lives of his new flock at Peace Presbyterian Church - www.peacepca.org.
