Since 1968, the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF) has trained God’s people in biblical counseling, the personal ministry of God’s Word to individuals and families. CCEF is closely affiliated with Westminster, and the Seminary’s biblical counseling courses are taught by CCEF faculty, which include two of Westminster’s full-time professors. CCEF has seen God restore broken lives and bring about spiritual growth and change as his Word is applied by his people in the power of the gospel. CCEF has five key ways of fulfilling its mission “to restore Christ to counseling and counseling to the Church.”

The School of Biblical Counseling offers certificate programs that train pastors and lay leaders to counsel those who need help in their lives and relationships. Its four certificates are intended for believers who have a heart for people, who know that God’s Word and God’s Spirit change lives, and who see the church as the community God uses to support his work of change. WTS offers three degrees which offer specialization in counseling:

-D.Min with Pastoral Counseling Emphasis

-M.A. with Biblical Counseling Emphasis

-M.Div. with Counseling Emphasis
